MCA calls for the establishment for a National Sex Offender Registry immediately. Last year, Deputy Minister Hannah Yeoh announced that the Ministry of Women, Community and Family Development has come up with a child sex offender registry which will be up and running by 1 April 2019. While this move is applauded, and such effort is certainly praiseworthy, this registry service has several major drawbacks:

We all remember the uproar in May 2018 when Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced that he will be taking on a second Cabinet portfolio as Education Minister, contrary to Pakatan Harapan’s manifesto which states that the Prime Minister should not hold any other positions in the cabinet. Which is why I sighed with relief when Dr Mahathir relented and allowed Dr. Maszlee bin Malik to take up the role of Education Minister instead.

The past nine days was a sojourn through all 30 years of my life being here in Seputeh. It has been a journey that has been profound and joyful. It is also one that has taken its toll and tested my faith. In many ways, people from all walks of life in Seputeh have seen their fair share of ups and downs for GE14.
